A Universidade Evangélica de Goiás - UniEVANGÉLICA receberá nos dias 5 e 6 de outubro de 2023 o I Congresso Integração Fé e Aprendizagem, iniciativa promovida pela Associação Educativa Evangélica. Um dos objetivos do evento será reunir professores, diretores e demais interessados de instituições de ensino superior cristãs em temas que envolvem a fé e aprendizagem.

O Congresso possui o apoio da Associação Brasileira de Instituições Educacionais Evangélicas - ABIEE e do International Council for Higher Education (Conselho Internacional para a Educação Superior - ICHE). A expectativa é grande para a participação de Kevin Mannoia, presidente da ICHE.

A iniciativa ocorre em meio às discussões sobre a Integração da fé e aprendizagem no seio da UniEVANGÉLICA - nos últimos anos, houve intensa formação de professores e demais representantes do corpo acadêmico, com atividades que incluíram encontros, reuniões, acampamentos e estudos aprofundados que fortaleceram a proposta.

A ideia do evento é, dentre outras possibilidades, compartilhar experiências com a comunidade acadêmica nacional e internacional. Nesse sentido, as discussões que serão levantadas têm ainda como meta iniciar no Brasil um movimento onde os princípios e valores da fé cristã estejam integrados e permeando os pensamentos, falas e ações de professores, coordenadores e gestores de instituições de ensino superior cristãs. Com isso, o foco é que os estudantes, considerados o maior patrimônio da educação, sejam de fatos transformados em profissionais competentes, mas também em seres humanos parecidos com Jesus, que conhecem o propósito de suas vidas e tornam-se agentes de transformação onde moram, trabalham e se divertem.

Kevin Mannoia, como presidente do Conselho Internacional de Educação Superior, uma agência internacional de credenciamento e rede de faculdades e universidades cristãs em partes restritas do mundo, tem seu trabalho reconhecido. Embora a carreira de Mannoia o tenha levado ao redor do país e do mundo, ele chama o sul da Califórnia de lar. Ele e Kathleen, sua esposa, moram perto de Los Angeles. Eles têm três filhos adultos.

Pessoas de todo o Brasil, demais países da América Latina e ainda de nações africanas são esperadas para o I Congresso Integração Fé e Aprendizagem, que deverá reunir mais de 400 pessoas no Ginásio Poliesportivo da UniEVANGÉLICA. Apesar de ser voltado ao ensino superior, o evento é aberto para diretores e professores de escolas e colégios do Brasil.

Congress on Integration of Faith & Learning

Anápolis, Brazil, August 6, 2023 - The Evangelical University of Goiás - UniEVANGÉLICA will host the 1st Congress on Integration of Faith & Learning in Brazil on October 5th and 6th, 2023 featuring Dr. Kevin Mannoia as the keynote speaker. The event is promoted by the Evangelical Educational Association. The principal objective of the event will be to bring together professors, directors, and other interested parties from Christian higher education institutions on topics involving faith and learning.

The Congress has the support of the Brazilian Association of Evangelical Educational Institutions (ABIEE) and the International Council for Higher Education (ICHE). Expectations are high for the involvement of many universities as well as the participation of Kevin Mannoia, President of ICHE.

The Congress takes place in the midst of the development of this priority on the Integration of faith and learning within UniEVANGÉLICA. In recent years, there has been intense training of teachers, board members, and other representatives of the academic body, with activities that include training meetings by Dr. Mannoia, formation, camps, and in-depth studies that strengthened the priority.

The purpose of the Congress is to share experiences with the national and international academic community. The aim is to initiate a movement in Brazil and across Latin America where the principles and values of the Christian faith are integrated and permeate the thoughts, speech, and actions of teachers, coordinators, and managers of Christian higher education institutions. The intent is that students are transformed into competent professionals, but also into human beings similar to Jesus, who know the purpose of their lives and become agents of transformation where they live, work, and play.

Three books will be released for the first time at the Congress:
⦁    The Idea of a Christian College, (Portuguese Version), by Arthur Holmes;
⦁    Principles of Integration of Faith & Learning, voices of the faculty at UniEvangelica, edited by Heliel Carvalho;
⦁    Expressing Life: A Primer on Integrating Faith & Learning, by Kevin Mannoia.

Over 400 are expected to attend from all over Brazil, other countries in Latin America, and African nations. The Congress will be held at UniEVANGÉLICA's Multi-sport Gym in the center of the main campus in Anapolis. Although being focused on higher education, the event is open to directors and teachers from secondary schools as well.
